Testimonials

“I’m so pleased I came across Alison House when searching for a convenient, comfortable and relaxed venue for our workshops in Derbyshire. The setting was both beautiful and peaceful, which added some extra value to what was already a well-received workshop. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly at all times.”
Nicola Culliford, WiRE East Midlands

“We have been using Alison House for a number of years and our students in particular enjoy the informal hospitality and quiet setting. Some of the operations have appeared quaint set against more usual hospitality practices. However, recently there has been a marked shift towards professional business practices which I think will put the future of our relationship on a more secure footing. I would like to think that Alison House is not destined to become too much of a commercial enterprise, but am pleased with recent conversations about future plans.”
Helen Frost, University of Nottingham

“Everyone thought that Alison House is a beautiful venue and the food was really lovely.”
Derbyshire County Council event organiser
